This is the belt that supported the 1841 Mississippi and the 1855 Springfield. It's the early pattern with the straight line stitching holding the sword bayonet frogg rather than the half circle rows of stitching. Comes complete with the slides for attaching the knapsack hooks. This belt is made entirely of waxed flesh, just as the original we copied. We have also seen these made from grain leather and blackened buff.
